I don't think Stone necessarily said it was a Matt song.

It was sort of unclear the way he said it, but I thought he meant "(We) wrote this amazing song called Dark Matter. It started out with a Matt Cameron drum beat"

I'm glad tree said he's step away from this thread but then recruited his wife to beef up his argument about Ed needing to retire

I played her No Code and Vitalogy in their entireties immediately after the new song, explaining my history of adoration for these albums, and she felt just as bad as, if not worse than me about it. There comes a time.

It's not like you say. We always listen to music and talk while cooking dinner together. This was on my mind so we went in this direction with her permission.

I can imagine...I tried to play the new song for my wife and she lasted all of 10 seconds before leaving the room lol. She is not a fan but to her credit I've dragged her to 3-4 shows and she thinks they are amazing live...just would never listen to them otherwise.
