Re: Calling All Comic Geeks!
There is a zero-percent chance this is even 50% faithful to the comics.
It's too bad it's being made when Simon Pegg is too old to be Hughie.Karl Urban as Billy Butcher
Elisabeth Shue as Madelyn Stillwell
Erin Moriarty as Annie January / Starlight
Antony Starr as The Homelander
Dominique McElligott as Queen Maeve
Jessie T. Usher as A-Train
Chace Crawford as The Deep
Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir
Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk
Jack Quaid as "Wee" Hughie Campbell
Karen Fukuhara as Female
Tomer Kapon as Frenchie

Came back to Doomsday Clock and while its a weird mess sometimes its kinda cool. The big setup for Superman vs Dr Manhattan could be cool even if i still dont understand pretty much anything.

Re: Calling All Comic Geeks!
It's god-damn bonkers is what it is, and that's just the first storyline. Incredibly enough it just goes up from there.
Still not sure about Karl Urban as Billy. Not sure who they'd cast otherwise but he's just not big enough.

Re: Calling All Comic Geeks!
yeah so far its violent and incorrect and really funny. Ennis at his best.
yeah Urban is ok but im not sure. Josh Brolin was a better choice.

That image is from the Doomsday Clock. It shows the famous introduction of the JSA but Dr Manhattan is there now. Basically if I understand what is going on

NEW STAR TREK CROSSOVER COMIC FEATURES CREWS FROM 4 SHOWS
The Original Series, TNG, DS9, and Voyager
A major Star Trek crossover comic from IDW called Star Trek: The Q Conflict features crews from four different Star Trek incarnations pitted against one another.
Revealed in a press release from IDW and the official Star Trek website, The Q Conflict will include crews from The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager and will debut in January. The six-part series is written by Scott and David Tipton with art by David Messina and additional cover variants by George Caltsoudas and J.K. Woodward.

The official description from IDW is as follows: "When a dispute between godlike beings threatens the galaxy, it will take all of Starfleet’s best captains to stop them. James T. Kirk, Jean-Luc Picard, Kathryn Janeway, and Benjamin Sisko must go head-to-head in a competition rigged by the arrogant Q and his nigh-omnipotent cohorts."
“This is it – the biggest Star Trek series ever, spanning starships, centuries, and galaxies!” said Scott Tipton. “All of Starfleet’s most legendary officers join together for the first time against some of the greatest threats they’ve ever faced. It’s like nothing you’ve seen before!”
“Being at work on Star Trek: The Q Conflict is like coming home after a five-year mission away,” said David Messina. “To draw characters like Spock and Picard at a time that’s so exciting for the Star Trek franchise? It’s awesome.”
CBS has licensed this six-part series to IDW, and the company has some other big plans for Star Trek on the way. Spock will be making his return in Season 2 of Star Trek Discovery, Patrick Stewart will be returning as Jean-Juc Picard in a new Star Trek series, and four short episodes called Short Treks will be coming to CBS All Access.

Re: Calling All Comic Geeks!
Ha. Yeah DC needs to tone it down a bit. They are putting out R rated animated movies and comics with Batman's pecker. It's a little much. There's nothing inherently wrong with it but personally I'd prefer they focus on all ages stuff.
