Maybe something to do with the aborted Glass and the Ghost children animated movie?

New songs out. Im not feeling these...sound better than anything that Billy did previous to Shiny, but they seem out of Monuments or Oceania.

I kept waiting for the guitar to kick in and ended up feeling like Charlie Brown.

The 4 songs that have been released so far are a slow burn. I'm really liking them - WAY more after first impressions.

Smashing Pumpkins announce sequel to ‘Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness’ and ‘Machina’
Corgan also said in the video clip that the band are “about 75 per cent done” on ‘Shiny And Oh So Bright, Vol. 3’. The 10-track record would follow the release of the ‘Mellon Collie/Machina’ sequel.

Yeah - I guess we'll have to wait and see, but if it comes to fruition - that's gonna be a hell of a lot of output in a relatively short period

I'm still struggling to figure out what the Teargarden by Kaleidoscope project was supposed to be

yeah, they are already releasing a double album in a month!

But anything can happen with him...Machina´s reissue is still going on, and he is talking about more reissues, more albums, tours...i dont think he will do it.

He was done with the album format because people only listened to singles, and began releasing songs but after a while he compiled and that was Teargarden...in the middle of that he recorded Oceania, an album, but he said it was part of Teargarden too.

I'm just as confused as I was before I read that explanation

Also, he recorded Oceania with a full band, only to complaint about that band years after the release of the album.

I really haven’t listened to much Smashing Pumpkins in the last 25 years. I know this because I pretty much had enough after Mellon Collie. It’s not a bad album, but it was too much. I love chocolate, but chocolate cake, chocolate fudge, chocolate frosting with chocolate sprinkles is too much for me. It should have been a single album.

I like Mellon Collie as a double album. He also left out so much good material it could have been 4 discs..

Yeah, the Mellon Collie sessions are legendary, with dozens of absolute bangers. Not the best case for "condense this session".

Actually, Jorge, can you retrack MCIS/TAFH and document the ways in which your girlfriend makes fun of you for it?

So they will have a new double album coming up called CYR? Those singles don't really do much for me...
And CYR is Shiny oh So Bright Volume 2? And volume 3 is 75% done?

But they will also release a sequel to Machina and Mellon Collie? Never knew Machina was a sequel to 'Mellon Collie' in the first place :haha:

Remember he was slamming Soundgarden or Pavement for being nostalgia acts? Because they were touring with old material...And now he will be touring Mellon Collie next year??

yeah, and he was so angry with his fanbase in 2008 because they asked for the hits....When James came back that changed.
