i don't know how many years its been since I've had a sloppy joe, but there was just one on tv and now I'm craving them..maybe this weekend

they've always been merely edible to me...i think you should go to dickey's instead

i think i bought the worlds worst bag of green grapes today..had a handful and had to throw them out..they looked so good

Man, I hate Trader Joe’s. Every time I’ve stepped foot into one it’s been filthy and with crap produce. With so many other options out there, I’m not sure why I would go there.

interesting, just the opposite out here..always some of the best produce other than a farmers market and always very clean..chicago must just suck

we have a Fresh Thyme, which is a whole foods/trader joe's hybrid, within a 1/2 mile of my house. we also have a whole food, pete's fresh market, and a trader joe's. the fresh thyme is best for produce and the whole foods best for seafood (more so because of the quality and the high turnover, which prevents things from just sitting for a long period of time). We have a local shop called standard market that has some of the best meat around (dry aged, prime, etc.).

re: trader joe's, i just find the experience not at all what others say it is. i've never gotten the hype.

The Trader Joe's here is great. Clean, always organized, and produce is fine, although I rarely go there for produce. You just can't go on the weekends. Myrtle Beach is an hour down the road and they don't have one, so it is always swamped with people from there coming up to shop.

Also, H_2, I wouldn't shop at a place called Fresh Thyme, just because of the name.

Get it? Fresh Thyme, as in the herb? But thyme is like time, suggesting fresh t-i-m-e?

Wrong thread but I hate businesses with names that try too hard with the puns. We have a home meal prep place called Thyme Savor. And a sewing place called Sew Many Common Threads.
