If you want to play the games in the suite of NES, SNES, N64, or SEGA titles they have you need to subscribe to get them.

My subscription is monthly. If it weren't so cheap I'd probably place it on hold. Haven't touched my Switch in many months!

A Mario + Rabbids game trial is free to Nintendo Switch Online members right now. Highly recommend this game if you've never played it!

It's pretty fun and I recommend trying it if you're a fan at all of online multiplayer shooters. It managed to make its own unique mark on the tired genre. But it seems there's no big reason to upgrade to 3 if you already have 2. If you don't, or if money's not an issue, go with 3 for the minor improvements.

There's a fun, brief single player mode (apparently somewhat improved in part 3), mostly focused on getting you used to the controls and everything, but online mode is the game's primary focus. It's a Nintendo game, so I wouldn't worry about being deterred or dominated by expert trolls or smurfs. They have their ways of making it fun and welcoming for newbies.

What tree_ said. The series has a unique style that many find endearing as well. The matches are short and pretty easy to pick up and play.

Since the Switch launched, Splatoon is Nintendo's #1 franchise worldwide. Crazy, but true.

I’m hoping my summer vacation in 2023 is to Hyrule. I really wish they’d at least announce what quarter to expect it in.
