88465UP has a good point. Matt is a touring machine and is responsible for Binaural and You Are, but Dave A. is clearly the iconic Pearl Jam drummer.Strat wrote:Shut up96583UP wrote:the 3 years Dave A was in the band still matter more than the 18 that matt c has
the drummer thing does matter
because this the litmus test for this asinine exercise in self congratulation is 'fame' , and pearl jam rose to fame with Dave A behind the kit and not matt c

Last I heard they're still close and he visits her at her apartment in Chicago. I have a friend who lives in her building
I never really got into that whole thing. Pearl Jam's music was far more important to me than their personal lives. I didn't even know Stone was married and had kids. Or maybe they mention that in PJ20? Maybe I did know, but it's never been a big focus for me. I still don't really know what happened with Ed and Beth. But I'm glad to know that they are still friends. That's pretty cool.Strat wrote:tragabigzanda wrote:Yea, just curious. I have to imagine she was as vital in those early years as anybody. I've been with them, like most of you, since the beginning. And this simply isn't true for me. Matt and Jack are far more important and iconic to me.Bammer wrote:88465UP has a good point. It was as uplifting and cathartic as any Pearl Jam show I've ever been too. And there was plenty of nostalgia but it was really the ceremony, the honor of it all that was overwhelming.Higgs wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:Jill was a weepy mess, too. Almost as bad as I was. It was really beautiful.
