Rand didn't do himself any favors with how he formulated his questions, but Fauci was not very responsive.
So Fauci uses his own weirdly specific definition of "Gain of Function" to avoid being clear about what research they were paying for in Wuhan.
"Molecularlly impossible for the reported strains" blah blah blah. Did they use transgenic mice with the ACE2 receptor? Is it possible the Chinese were doing similar research on unreported strains?
Rand Paul hasn’t done himself any favors since some point in year one of Trump’s presidency. These guys all seem to understand they can’t be against Trump because their constituents will not like that, and it just seems to bring out their inner extreme, because what else have they got?

I'm glad he's pressing on this issue. Eco health certainly shouldn't get any additional grant funding without getting to the bottom of this.

Fauci's smart. He knows he can wait this out. Now that the red team is anti-CRT 24/7, all he has to do is stall and use semantic games until the evidence is "lost" and he's off the hook. EcoHealth on the other hand should have been raided by the FBI months ago to save whatever data still might exist.
