I think i can hear Ed singing Oh Beth in the harmonies at the end of Future Days? It starts around the 3:17 mark.

What's even better is that he is harmonising with Beth while rolling Jill in blood.

I listened to Ten the other day for the first time in years.
I'm not one of those people, but man, it is a fucking masterpiece for a first record. No two ways about it.
Weirdly, or maybe not, it transported me back to that time, effortlessly.
No other Pj record has been able to do that. But I do listen to the others a whole lot more regularly and frequently, than Ten.

What a collection of songs though.


You're meant to start sorta crap and get amazing.

Pj seem to have done exactly the opposite. Somehow.

Ten is classic, its def got that 90's nostalgic feel to it of course but i still think the album was ahead of its time in a way....

Ten is a testament to how strong and developed the Gossard-Ament partnership was even before Ed and Mike's arrival. I think it was Rolling Stone that referred to Pearl Jam as being a band who "arrived" as fully realized as any band ever (or something vaguely along those terms), and I have to think that all comes down to having a core that had essentially already been together for what, seven years at that point? They knew how to play the every loving daylights out of each other's material, and that's something that isn't an easy skill to master.
