Ren is an incredibly interesting character, and I think that's entirely because the mask comes off

I think he could be. But, I didn't find him interesting at all in this movie.

We need to see Kylo is a fraud and a poser..he's not even a real Jedi/Padewan/Sith equivalent..and we get to see him all pissed off and self entitled asshole because of it..Leave the mask on the whole film and you have a legitimate claim that it's just a remake and it'd be worse cos no way was he ever gonna be as legendary or iconic as Vader, no matter how many blaster shots he stops..
fair enough
did you really see this 10x in the theater?
I think so..it was a long 30 year wait for a real star wars film in fairness..i need to see it 275 more times to entirely wipe out the prequels from memory
and now i can!!!

Massive Spoiler for upcoming movies.
maybe. Scene from next weeks Rebels Season Finale.
I think the character under the hood is darth maul, especially based on what he is saying about being used by the sith as a weapon and then discarded. And he sure sounds like Snoke does. The Maul part seems almost certain.

ok so now we have it in great quality...i've paused, zoomed and i think there's some sorta inscription on that headstone..it's not ogham or any kind of old Irish..looks like it could be some sort of jedi symbols.

"Dime pursues the mysterious presence of a rock in a movie" is my favorite RM subplot this season.

Well I mean I really appreciated the lengths and efforts they went to in this.
The shot in the forest where Rey is just about to encounter kylo are exactly the same shots as Luke in the cave when he encounters Vader in the force vision. I love that that they went that far mirroring shots. It informs us subconsciously even if we never noticed it or had it possible need out in a video like that.
