The extras disc with the deleted scenes and documentary is out there.

Apparently the doco isn't all that good at all by comparison to even the prequels extras discs, which were super in depth and revealing. But we'll see.

Scratch that. I'm less than halfway through and it's awesome.

Haven't watched it yet but even reading about it I wish it was in. Would have added so much.

I was hoping for a Lord of the Rings level documentary section - I love all that "how the sausage was made" sort of stuff.

Just watched the scene with Kylo on the Falcon. It's only 55 seconds and it would have added a lot. If maybe he paused in the cockpit for a beat more. Finishes with him leaving and looking up to the sky to see the X wings coming in for attack. Really could have worked.

There's no commentary with this release. That's a huge shame.

There are NINE different commentaries to choose from on the LOTR extended editions.

Huge screw up I think. Would have loved one with Kasdan and Abrams and another with the art team.

The iTunes release is today. Comes with all the extra stuff. But it's on torrents also if they've taken enough of your money.

So the first 30 seconds of dialog in this is expressionless exposition. Huh.

Not many expressions in the first minutes of each of the OT either. Other than threepio babbling in a new hope and the officer shitting it when he hears the emperor is coming in Jedi.
