It just isn't willing to pause the noisy action long enough to let us feel/invest in Rey's character and reality. I think the tie fighter laser shooting sequence lasted as long as any "girl trapped on a sand planet" scene.

are we seriously already to the falcon? with no pause to even bind these characters? does this movie ever do anything but pewpewpew? That must have been the entire script?
