Last three episodes were excellent. That's the show I remember. Not sure the Yavin base would have survived for years with all those people coming and going but I get the narrative choice.

Haven't read through the thread today but I just finished the first two episodes of the arc...

Just... Wow.

I really can't wait for Mothma's Senate speech. It's something I've wanted to see for a long time.

I've got some bad news for you

Just an embarrassment of riches, these three episodes. I cannot come to terms with getting only three more episodes of this. I will kill to get a sequel series covering the original trilogy period, focused on Mothma and the Alliance.

I give Jimmy Smits a bit of a pass for having to spout George Lucas dialogue but Bratt seems like a superior actor. He was great as Bail.

Ohhh... interesting. I had a very different read on this. I don't think he had any idea Cassian was targeting Dedra. And the entire point was that Cassian had no idea who Syril is. And Syril had been obsessing over Cassian for a long time.

This arc was special.

I got everything I wanted from ep 9. Mothma's speech had me in tears. The reference to the Ghost had my in tears. Bix's sacrifice had me in too many tears!

Erskine! Motherfucking Erskine! That was fucking amazing! What a dude (real-heads who watch those dumb cartoons for kids will know). I loved that.

I'm a little bummed about the K2-S0 and Cassian "origin." I hate the re-canonization but whatever. As everyone has said, the comics don't really matter. The Rebels retcon is maybe a little more troublesome, but even Filoni himself did the same thing so it's hard to be too upset. What we get in live-action is actually better. So...

Anyway, this arc was probably the best of the series so far and I'm just blown away that we got to receive it.

Yeah the Star Wars Minute guys have been talking about for years that there’s a fringe reading of Episode IV that the Force isn’t “real” in the way that it’s presented everywhere else, that the Jedi could have just used the power of suggestion and self control to convince the galaxy that they had access to something no one else had. I guess the only thing in the movie that you wouldn’t be able to explain is Obi-Wan disappearing after the duel with Vader. It wasn’t until Empire and Jedi that they were lifting spaceships and shooting lightning. I don’t necessarily think this is true, but I do love how Rogue One and Andor pull back on “Force creep” and put it in the hands of faith healers and cultists (like Chirrut Imwe) in a way that subtly answers the questions people have about how the galaxy so quickly forgot about the powers of the Jedi, i.e., because since then it’s only been the kooks who have claimed to be connected to it.

Maybe I’m wrong that’s just my first read of it. Someone else told me he’s just angry and pissed off he’s been left out of the loop and didn’t know what they were doing there. I don’t buy that fully but it could be a little of both. He definitely doesn’t know that’s cassian I wasn’t suggesting that at all. That just a great portrayal of what can happen in the chaos of a situation like that.

He did see him lining up a shot on her though. I’m fairly sure of that.

I’m 95% sure the faith healer lady is the one we see treating Chewie at the rebel base in Dqar in TFA
Chewies been shot and he’s telling her about it and she goes ‘oh you must be very brave’

Almost sure it’s her.

The person who wrote the andor scripts is also writing the Rey movie it seems
