Who cares. She has her job, the Ulta beauty company no longer has to fear some competitor swooping in and cornering the AAPI market. All is right with the world.
Yeah but the precedent it sets. Who among us has not tweeted during the second Obama administration that their chem professor can't read their handwriting because of their slanty eyes?

The real shame is posting on this board at all, which is why I'd like them both deleted

That works in the moment, but what if at 21 a teen mother is stuck working part time at a grocery story b/c the father left, and she wasn't able to get the education she wanted or dedicate time to her career.

She can't look back and go, "damn, that was stupid. I should get to delete this kid and have people forget about her."

Not that this is a good metaphor but also abortion is basically unavailable in much of the country, geographically speaking.

Can I claim that my treatment on RM is akin to being Cancelled?

I'm not treating it as a metaphor. It's an example of a mistake people sometimes make as teens that fucks their life and there's no "well, teens are dumb" argument being made.

There are progressive policy solutions to this problem, like a living wage, universal basic income, universal free or low-cost child care, debt-free tuition to public colleges. I realize that we're straying from whatever weird comparison you were making, I just really want to point out that it was weird and nonsensical

Can you put a 4 or 5 year old up for adoption?

I suppose my comparison is ham-handed, but we expect teens to make responsible choices. Why do we give them a pass for saying stupid shit on Twitter?

yes, but they have less chance of being adopted. then it's foster homes.

are you really not aware of these things?

Why would I know how adoption works?

Sorry, obviously, I know a 4 or 5 year old can be adopted.

But can you just give up a kid that old?
