Some will ask if the NFL has a problem with institutionalized homophobia. I don't think it does. I think there are homophobic people in the NFL, in all positions, but that's true for society as well, and those people eventually get replaced. All we can do is try to expose their behavior when we see it and call them to account for their actions.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Never be afraid to do what's right. If no one ever says anything, nothing ever changes.

How is it that three NFL teams needed corporate help to sell out home playoff games. Really?

This doesn't excuse the Colts, but:

I sat outside in negative temperatures for a week 17 Bills game against the Colts where the Bills had nothing to play for and Manning pretty much sat the entire game. Beer was freezing almost as soon as you brought it outside, so I was drinking gin. It was one of the funnest games ever despite the cold. Cold is not an excuse to not go to your team's playoff game.

I don't buy the cold as an excuse, but what I'm really surprised by is Green Bay...I always thought that that was a "tough ticket" to get in sports....guess it's not so tough to get.

Here we go....go big or go home with ya picks!
SF over GB - Weather does not help Green Bay.
Philly over NO - Weather helps Philly; Brees struggles in the weekend cold.
INDY over KC - Trends. Indy trending upwards, KC downwards.
CINCY over Whale's Vagina - Have been on the CINCY bus all season long
______________________
SF over Seattle - Screw the 12th man and Pearl Jam's favorite team.
Philly over Carolina - Cam Newton sucks and gives this game away.
Indy over Denver - Record book time: Manning goes "one and out" for the ninth time in the playoffs.
NE over CINCY - Pats, despite the injuries, are undefeated at home, and it stays that way.
______________________
Philly over SF - Eagles have lost once since Halloween.
NE over Indy - Pats win on a questionable pass interference call late in the game. Blount hammers it home for the win.
______________________
Philly over NE - Eagles gain revenge on Pats. Brady falls to 3-3 in Super Bowls. Super Bowl moved up to Saturday, due to bad weather (yes, the NFL can move the SB to Sat or the following weekend if it wants to).

blackouts/non-sellouts have never been a concern for as long as i can remember. besides the extreme cold, there are other possible explanations why the game didn't sell out naturally:
- playoff tickets were first made available to season ticket holders weeks ago, when the packers were a long shot to make the playoffs and many figured, even if they somehow did make it, rodgers wouldn't be playing.
- furthermore, in the past, season ticket holders were issued refunds if they bought playoff tickets and a game didn't happen in green bay. for the first time this year, instead of refunds, the money spent was applied towards the season ticket price for next season.
- lambeau is a lot bigger than it used to be, now holding over 80000 seats (third largest in the league).
- no one thinks they have a chance, RM included.

But he gets extra credit for the Whale's Vagina reference...

I knew that Lambeau was larger these days, but the rest is news to me. The Green Bay non sellout makes more sense now.
