i think for the most part we've all already picked our starters nearly all around the diamond. Pinch runners and Situational LOOGYs aren't going to determine this thing.

Are we stuck with the park we chose or are we going to be able to change them after the draft? I remember this being mentioned.

In context, my reach for Gagne in 2003 was only 3.7. Of course I found that out after the fact.

Now we probably be a good time to discuss some aspects of the tournaments.

-I'm gonna run everybody besides me through the randomizer again and seed them 1-8. I volunteered to be in the play-in round, so I'll take the ninth seed. Whoever wins the series between me and the eight seed will move forward and face the one seed.

-I was going to just assign home field advantage along with the seed, but if you guys have any clever ideas as to ways to do home field advantage (insert all-star game joke here), or even seeding, post them and maybe we'll use them.

-I'm thinking at the start of each round, we should make people announce their starters for at least the first three games. I want to make sure people have the opportunity to alter their lineups based on who they're facing. If you decide to use a guy on two games' rest, you'll have to do it by a certain time so that your opponent can respond.

-How long should we have between games? Should we run multiple games in a series per day, or should we run one every single day? This one is totally up to you guys. Whatever it is, we'll have a deadline for lineup changes, and if you don't submit one by then we'll just use your lineup from the previous game

I think I've thought of a park that is much better suited to the team I've drafted, but I have a hard time coming to grips with not using Fenway.

Despite my better judgment, i will stick with tiger stadium

as far as I've been able to tell, any WAR over 3.5 for a reliever is REALLY good. 4 is outstanding.

for as amazing as Koji was last year, he only hit 3.6. Urbina at his peak only hit 3.2. Kimbrel only 3.3. Trevor Hoffman only eclipsed 3.3 TWICE.

Whoever took Wagner upset me.

Of my top 4 relievers, based on WAR only, Eric Gagne had the WORST best season of them. Lidge and Rodney both hit 3.8 and Putz at 4.0.

Chud is going all heart for this thing.

My top four clock in at 4.1, 3.8, 3.7, & 3.1.

I'll be honest though, with my bullpen I've been going way more by WHIP & K/BB ratios than anything else.

I think those kinds of numbers (FIP, K/BB) are more important in this situation. It's pretty widely accepted that WAR isn't particularly accurate in evaluating relievers.

I guess I'll go with a 6.4 WAR, MVP-winning, 30-home run hitting SS as my "pinch runner"... Jimmy Rollins.

Keep in mind guys, with no DH, there's a good chance your bench players are gonna be called on to pinch hit in the later innings.
