Just watched Alex Edelman: Just for Us on Max.
I’d never heard of him, but I saw a clip of this special on TikTok, and thought it might be funny.
It was really good.

Couldn’t get past the first five on koko the monkey. But I liked him on birbiglia’s podcast. Does it get better?
I thought so. I also didn’t mind the bit about koko.
He’s definitely more of a storyteller like Birbiglia than anything else, so if you approach it that way it may hit different.

my wife and I saw Sarah Sherman last night. it was good. lots of self-deprecating jokes, mixed with grotesque and funny imagery she shows on the screen behind her, and some crowd work as well.
