Dallas was not satisfied with the complete dominance of their conventional offense in the 1st half so they decided to come out and run only reverses and jet sweeps

the only silver lining in the fact that the lions are going to lose out and give the division to the packers in 2 weeks is that it won't happen until AFTER i've faced all my packer fan in-laws at xmas.

So the celebration that Elliot did last night is a penalty, and he may actually get fined for it, but this is what THE NFL had on their front page of their website this morning:

"...the Cowboys rookie made a beeline for the Salvation Army Red Kettle and the TD Celebration Hall of Fame."

Your OL was the real deal tonight
I only watched like a quarter total today, but there were six or so moments when the pocket started to collapse (as it usual does in Denver) and then suddenly Brady had 1.5 extra seconds to get it out--they weren't always completions, but they saved them from moving backwards.
Good points. The OL is the real deal and it's amazing to think that we have a retired coach who un-retired to get it back to where it should be.

It would be great to see the Pats win out to lock up home field advantage through-out, which would greatly increase their chances for another SB appearance. I hope that they keep their focus unlike last year and it cost them having to play at Denver in the AFC Champ.

First of all, the recent celebration penalties have put the refs and the NFL under scrutiny ... to the point that the NFL has already stated they will look at revising the rule in the offseason.

Secondly, the Cowboys running back was shining a HUGE light on a great cause on national tv with that 'donation'... what are you, Ebeneezer Fucking Scrooge?!

the NFL tries to squeeze a dollar from everything they do ... why not encourage TD celebrations ... boost viewership... there is so much showboating everywhere else... society has changed; we have a reality TV president... people want pizazz.... people want choreographed group dances... in fact they should just replace the 33-YD extra pointer with a TD celebration dance contest... make the player subject to evaluation by a cavalcade of soapstars and homosexuals and award them anywhere from 0-2 points based on a transparent rating system and whatever Dean Blandino feels like at the time as he secretly whispers into the ref's earpiece

The celebration penalty was almost as stupid as HB2.

What they should do is add a commentary on how silly most post sack; look what I did choreographed dance moves look.

Cam Newton OBJ-ing hard out over the nanny poo poo victory .... wonder which hat he will wear to his press conference ... clearly not the one that earns him the respect of NFL refs

it makes all their other fines ridiculous.

i get that its for a good cause and it added an extra 21 million in donations (incredible when you think about it) but now it becomes what is the worthy cause that allows a player to escape being fined? does he bring a buxom blonde out of the stands and motor boat her to bring awareness to breast cancer, how about a teammate grabbing his nuts to show he is getting them examined for testicular cancer?

just let them celebrate and be done with it

Things to make the NFL better:

1. Eliminate Thursday Night Football (I'm still OK with the late season Saturday night games)

2. Let the players celebrate (no profanity or violent gestures)

3. Put the PAT back to where it used to be

4. Don't tinker w/ the Red Zone Channel

If this walkie talkie incident happening with the Giants had happened with the Patriots, everyone would be screaming cheaters and Goodell would be finding a way to ban Brady

3. Leave the PAT where it is

4. Take Scott Hanson off of the Red Zone Channel
5. Hire competent refs

6. Don't put teams on national TV in consecutive weeks - this happens all the time, and not with just the marquee teams

7. Pay closer attention to teams schedules - don't have a team that plays Sunday night or late Sunday afternoon and has to travel a few hours home play the following Thursday. Don't have teams that play on Thursday one week play on Monday night the following week, and then have teams that play that same week on Monday night play early the following Sunday. Or, teams that have bye and don't play until Monday night the next week.

I'm sure this all evens out, but I've noticed weird scheduling quirks with teams getting extra days off here and there. There was an instance a few years ago where the Chargers played Thursday, had a bye, and then played Monday the following week. Which means a bunch of teams played 3 games in between the Chargers playing those two games which is a scheduling quirk that should never happen in a 16 game season.

And with good reason? You cheat multiple times and you're labeled cheaters. Them the breaks.

That said, screw the Giants and this dirty shit they tried to pull.

Try to guess the NFL city by just the headline:
