who'd have thought orange county ca would ever be blue...
I mean, the ballots here in WA are like that. The difference being that they are all mail ballots and I have about a month to figure out who I'm going to vote for and don't have to cross anything out.wease wrote:Who fucking uses ballots that require you to color in the circle anymore? My thought was if the person counting them didn’t like who you voted for, they could cross it out and color in the circle for the other candidate. Just like in the pic. Too big a chance of chicanery with that type ballot.bune wrote:I mean, the ballots here in WA are like that. Also: You have a 50% chance of voting for the person you want, how do you screw that up? Get a brain, morans.
I'm pretty sure they're machine-counted first, and when there's a recount they have a group of people examine each individual ballot so there's none of that foolishness. Do other people not feed your own ballot into the machine?wease wrote:My thought was if the person counting them didn’t like who you voted for, they could cross it out and color in the circle for the other candidate. That's a vote for Rick Scott. They're trying to cross out their vote for Bill Nelson.BurtReynolds wrote:LolMcParadigm wrote:Fuckin Florida, man.
We don’t use paper ballots. We press buttons for whichever candidate we want to vote for.Simple Torture wrote:I'm pretty sure they're machine-counted first, and when there's a recount they have a group of people examine each individual ballot so there's none of that foolishness. Republican Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith stumbled recently when, in praise of a supporter, she spoke of her willingness to sit in the front row of a public hanging if he invited her — words that, in the South, evoked images of lynchings. She has struggled to grapple with the fallout, baffling members of her party and causing even faithful Republicans to consider voting for her opponent, former congressman Mike Espy.
