Ariana Grande becomes the first person to have a #1 song, #1 album and #1 movie in the same year. We are still one year away from when Trag predicted she would no longer be a major performer so I hope she is enjoying it

I'm about to fly to my hometown for a wedding. Coincidentally, my hometown is also Shakira's hometown, and she will be performing her first show there in like a decade, so we decided to see her.
I'm no big Shakira fan, in fact a lot of her recent music is downright terrible, but both of us being Barranquilla's most significant cultural exports (plus our shared Colombian-Lebanese heritage) I feel a sort of kinship with her. And I wonder how much people from outside Latin America know about her career from the 90s and early 2000s, before she started making music in English.
Like did you know she used to be a total 90s-style rock chick, marketed in a similar vein to Jagged Little Pill era Alanis Morissette?
Have you ever heard this song? It lifts the drums from Radiohead's "High and Dry"

Surely TayTay already did this. Or Whitney Houston in The Bodyguard?

Taylor hasn't had much luck in the acting department when it comes to box office.
Whitney might get it on a technicality, given the fact that the Bodyguard soundtrack is credited as a Whitney Houston release even though half the songs on it are by other people

I don't get the Chapelle or Carpenter hype. I got the Olivia Rodrigo hype, but this stuff is lost on me.

He gets a pass for that thing he did with Anderson .Paak. There are way worse artists out there.
