That’s crazy. I’d happily swap with you. It’s Baltic here but the thaw has begun after all the snow. It’s warmer than it was.
A balmy 8c as I type. Which is T-shirt warm compared to the last week.

well, having spent time in the european summer all these recent years, i think we have a better one, or at least this city have more to offer you with an intense summer than lets say, Madrid.

2022 was an awful hot summer there and you could feel people kinda melt in the streets. A lot of the apartments dont have AC or swimming pools, which seems kinda crazy.

Closed one, I had one that I closed last night because everyone had already called out. So that left me with three open. I closed them by 10:00. Have spent the rest of the day on paperwork and scheduling stuff. Will be up early again tomorrow to try and determine if we’ll be open. I absolutely fucking HATE this time of year.
An entire center’s staff called off because of weather?
Oh yes, indeed. It WAS only 4 people, tho.
How much snow’s on the ground?
At the time they called out, none. They all called out the night before when the bad weather hadn’t even gotten here.
Far out. Are you able to question that or is it a no questions asked policy when it comes to call offs?

In the event of weather, we typically don’t question it.

Madrid is a gorgeous town. Only been the once but would love to go back in any weather.

I don’t want to be near Madrid in the summer. Barcelona yes, it has a beach nearby. But not Madrid.

Is still a gorgeous place of course.

Somehow never been to Barcelona. It’s at the very top of my list but somehow never happens.

Done fucked up during my lunch break. Ended up dropping a kettlebell on my foot. Completely busted up my big toe, now at the hospital waiting to get stitches

Those kettlebells are dumb!

I'd just taken a drink during a rest period, and the condensation on the bottle made my hands a little slippery...
Apparently I'm getting x-rays to see if it's broken too.

Asshole is All good!

Toe is apparently fractured in two places. Toenail needs to come off, but there's something gnarly about the way I've done this which means they may be sending me to see an orthopedic surgeon

Mom had another surgery to remove her kidney and fix a hernia today. Doctors said it went very well, but she's in a lot of pain no one can see her yet. Lingering effects of cancer treatment a few years ago. I hope this is it and she doesn't have to do this anymore.

Had to replace a tire this morning, then this evening I go over to the townhouse to check things out and of course there's a leak in the ceiling.
