This is basically my ideal. Any hotter and I would burn to a crisp.

The kid’s cousin is over today for a play, and she won’t let me be on a different floor than them, or even room at times.

Re: Talk about your day thread
Well following Dr orders - waited till day 3 before doing a slightly modified workout. I thought with the removal of dynamic swings and jumping squats it'd be an easier workout. Could be just that today is one of the hotter days in recent memory, but that was one of the hardest workouts I've done. LOTS of extra rest breaks

Rough day...
So far 2025 has been a fucking kick in the nuts. Only 16 days in and it feels like we're already 8 months in.

File under freakish coincidences:
A number of months back, I broke our antique butter dish. It as a gift to Mrs Wease from an elderly relative who has since passed. Shortly afterward, the oldest Weaseling went thrifting and found another one. Not quite as fancy but serviceable. Cut to today. We went to eat for the youngest Weaseling’s birthday and my parents and Mrs Wease’s parents joined us. Her parents had brought 4 boxes of old dishes that had belonged to her great-grandmother that she used when her grandmother was growing up. She didn’t really want them but her mom really wanted her to have them so we loaded them up after supper and brought them home. As we were unpacking them, I made the comment, maybe there’s a butter dish in here to match these. We finished, no butter dish. Then while in the kitchen, Mrs Wease noticed the pattern on the thrifting butter dish. IT’S THE SAME PATTERN. Our butter dish is from the set as her great-grandma’s set. We’re all a bit freaked out by this.

Re: Talk about your day thread
are they from the same town / region?
back in the day there weren't 800 manufacturers selling stuff like today
there were like 1 or 2 manufacturers
a lot of people might have had that same pattern of dishes in that era
not trying to diminish the odds
but would make it make more sense
also
your house is haunted

The set she got tonight is from about an hour away. The butter dish came from a thrift store here in town but who knows where it was before that.
