I can't take this. We're all wrong and right in all sorts of ways. What ever happened to the beauty of consensus? The 90's were so much easier. We had no message boards so everyone could agree on the quality of albums.

Yep.

LW, Comatose and Unemployable aren't horrible either.

Gone, Inside Job, Come Back, and for me WWS are terrible.

Parachutes
Marker
Severed

Life Wasted
Big Wave
Army Reserve
Wasted Reprise

Comatose
Unemployable

WWS
Come Back
Inside Job
Gone

Ed sounds like someone's trying to strangle him while he's singing the chorus to lifewasted. And the amount of "I've faced it a life wasted" and variations there of in there kills it for me.

I loathe the chorus to marker, I just replayed it cause I couldn't remember it. Totally takes the wind outta the entire song. It seems like a precursor to the kind of atw/ lb verse melodys I hate, and that I'm calling out shit at the end bleh.

I'm basically fucked cause the new albums gonna be full of these uplifting soul searching religiously themed kinds of things aint it.

I like the verses to both though I guess. ?

The LW bridge is one of the highpoints of the entire album, and the song as a whole is good. And for the (official) record, the other highpoints occur at Parachutes and Come Back.

We wouldn't have to argue so much if everyone would just fucking agree with me.

Not without a hint of irony, buddy.

Not to sidetrack from this very important debate.. but does anyone else find it strange that they removed the mym banner this week?... I thought for sure that meant something new was in the works

Marker just kills the momentum of the album....the first 4 tunes rock, then you hit number 5 and its complete cheese...Let it Ride wouldve fit perfect there...oh well..

Comatose to Unemployable is a really good 5 song run.

I've noticed that. But I'm not sure it means anything and I don't expect to get anything this week. They're not going to do another artwork reveal as we've already had them all... unless they something else.

Marker would be great if it had a better chorus. Actually, it's not so much that the chorus is poor as much as it is that the disconnect between verse and chorus is so great that the air gets let out of the song. S/T isn't all that bad up to and including Unemployable; I just think besides Army Reserve it falls apart after that.

Agreed, except that I find Army Reserve boring as well so the entire second half is meh to me. I'd never felt that way about a PJ album at the time, so it was a pretty bad thing.
