He's playing most of it. But there is another guy playing some of the more complicated stuff. There's some tricky editing and post production magic at work. He sang and danced a lot when he was younger. He has training. I'm guessing he hasn't flexed those muscles much in a long while though. I loved Whiplash and thats the reason i will see it, but all this sudden love for a movie like this smells like a marketing job well done.
