didn't moulin rouge and chicago already do that?dimejinky99 wrote:lennytheweedwhacker wrote:has it already been established that once and la la land are completely different movies?
That's probably my fault. My initial point was Once made Hollywood take musical format seriously again.
That's alll
I'm not convinced.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:movies we're watchingBurtReynolds wrote:What the hell are you people talking about?

They're making movies about minor spider-man villains now?lennytheweedwhacker wrote:i saw whiplash, at leastBurtReynolds wrote:I'm not convinced.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:movies we're watchingBurtReynolds wrote:What the hell are you people talking about?
The Once Broadway musical show was outstanding. Took everything I loved about the movie and made it theatrical. It was beautifully transposed for the stage. I'm not a big fan of musical, per se, but Once was exceptional.dimejinky99 wrote:Weird thing.
The musical that was made from Once has made more money than the film did. Won all these Tony's etc
So we will no doubt get a la la land musical.
I mean, I tried. But who knows if anyone was listening.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:has it already been established that once and la la land are completely different movies?

There is also the "n roll" partVinylGuy wrote: Its the "It" movie of the season, and everyone "wants" to see it and " love it" because its "hip and current". Its not a movie, its just an artifact.
