even barring that, you can see the droids attacking in the background so that's already established.

Interesting that Mando doesn't understand that BY its using the Force. I'm curious to see how that tracks. Certainly seems to imply a Jedi did not rescue him.

But further, given Mandalorians' history with the Jedi & our Mando's commitment to The Way... why doesn't he understand what's happening. Or does he understand but doesn't want to give away the game, even to Kuiil whom he trusts? If so, why?

He’s a foundling. So maybe given no proper education. Doesn’t exclude him meeting a Jedi. Just cos say ahsoka saves him doesn’t man she’s going to be using a lightsaber or the force?

Or maybe she does and that’s what has him wondering about the baby’s ability and he rememebrs

AND HE BRINGS THE BABY TO AHSOKA IN THE FINAL EPISODE

I was wondering this as well. For all we know, the legend/myth of the jedi is just that. It had been a long time since the Jedi had been wiped out. Through the OT there are only 2 jedi's - both of which are in hiding and both of which die....with Luke being the only remaining jedi at the time.

So, perhaps, the Mando is aware of the myth but perhaps never has seen it or believed it.

Of course, I'm just asking questions and trying to understand the world. Mando is so fluent in Mandalorian culture that I have a hard time believing he doesn't know about Jedi (let's not forget that so much of the Mandalorian armor was created literally to fight Jedi), the Force, the Mando/Jedi war, the Dark Saber, etc; foundling or not. He's committed to his people & culture. So it's interesting to imagine what this all means & where it's going.

Scrimshaw talked about how it speaks to the Empire's propaganda efforts. I like that.

Well how much do you know about your cultures enemy when a)they were wiped out over 30 years ago and b) your culture was then wiped out by a new enemy, the empire

growing up in that scenario you’d only be hating about wrongs done to you by the ones that tried to wipe your people out who also happen to be more recent.

Totally fair & valid. And this is probably close to the answer. I just think it's interesting and I like the questions it poses.

Scrimshaw had a great analogy about aliens. He said if aliens showed up tomorrow & started abducting people and the news had footage of it, then people did poscasts about it like, "what the hell is going on?!" Others would be like, "come on, bro, you HAVE to know about aliens, they've been around forever!"

Technically, through the OT is 2 jedi out in the open. Up until around then Ezra, Ahsoka, and a little earlier, Kanaan were around, either in hiding or unknown location.

I didn't say that right, but I think you catch my drift. The fates of Ahsoka and Ezra are unknown, so they could have been out there running around as well as Luke.

But again, if what we're seeing in the flashbacks is the Siege of Mandalore, that means the Jedi are still around (its pre order 66), and Maul & Savage (both powerful Force users) are reigning in power. It's not just about Jedi, it's about why he has no explication for the Force. I think that's interesting.

But this is all also echoed to a degree in how little the galaxy seems to know about Mandalorians in general. Very interesting.

I think there are corners of the galaxy that seem to think the jedis were a myth. Remember Rey and Han conversation in TFA?

Very common theme throughout all of Stat Wars. And as I said earlier, it's echoed even beyond the Jedi to the Mandalorians themselves ("do you guys ever take off your helmets", etc).

I adore that Kuiil has no understanding of the Force or anything. That makes total sense to me and is perfectly in line with what you said and the common understanding of how slowly information spreads (or how fully it is manipulated by power) in Star Wars. That's awesome.

The interesting part is Mando not understanding what happened. Because it would make sense that he would have some knowledge of the Jedi & the Force and/or some understanding of the "idea" of the Force.

Look, man, I get that fandom wants it. I hope all of you are satisfied with whatever the answer ends up being. I just hope this large swath of the fanbase is also managing their expectations. Again, it may well be one of those characters and many of them would makes sense and be very cool. But let's remember what happened not so long ago when everyone's Snoke theory turned out to be dead wrong.

Just manage expectations.
