i went to ole miss once...we didn't have tickets so had to scalp...we just couldn't get there early enough to really see much of the campusMonkey_Driven wrote:Starting the fifth year in the SEC I've been to Ole Miss, Tennessee, Vanderbilt (twice), Texas A&M, Georgia, and South Carolina. LSU this year and definitely Alabama in two years. All were fun in their own ways. Ole Miss was kind of a disappointment based on how hyped it was. The town is super tiny and and their liquor laws are really weird.

Re: College Football
The Grove was neat to see, but the tailgating outside of that was pretty standard. The stadium was easy to get in and out of and had plenty of room in the concourses. I liked that. The gameday atmosphere wasn't anything too special.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:i went to ole miss once...we didn't have tickets so had to scalp...we just couldn't get there early enough to really see much of the campusMonkey_Driven wrote:Starting the fifth year in the SEC I've been to Ole Miss, Tennessee, Vanderbilt (twice), Texas A&M, Georgia, and South Carolina. I've been up since about 3am. WTF is wrong with me. My squad is favored by 37 today. I need to relax.

You should pitch this as a reality show. Between the gratuitous food shots and coed shots, it'd be a hit.Electromatic wrote:lennytheweedwhacker wrote:do you just wander around and eat other people's food?Electromatic wrote:E.H. I've always had a pretty good time tailgating in the fairgrounds outside. I've never had a ticket and didn't really know anyone. I think you would have fun anyway if only for people watching and double entendre.
Not really, I just wander around and make friends, if they offer I graciously accept. Most people cook way more than they need. At LSU, I mean they have 10 gallon pots of gumbo and dirty rice, they don't want it going to waste.

for 3 hours or so I guess. I have honestly no earthly idea how that game is going to play out.
Tomorrow I'm a huge FSU fan, because Fuck Louisville. Basketball and Football, I have no earthly idea why a parent would send their child to an athletics department that employs the human garbage that they do in both football and basketball.
Petrino, Grantham, Pitino.. amazing.

I don't think anyone does. I'm thinking Mizzou keeps it close, but can't stop the run for the whole game.Electromatic wrote:for 3 hours or so I guess. I have honestly no earthly idea how that game is going to play out.Monkey_Driven wrote:Electromatic and I will be bitter enemies tomorrow.

Chubb is certainly an amazing back, that said Nichols destroyed the Georgia offensive line last week. 20 carries for 80 yards....for Chubb....against....Nichols, an FCS team. It's possible they just had 8 in the box most of the game too given that Georgia is almost certainly mostly playing freshman Jacob Eason at QB and the WR's are kind of iffy but who knows..Monkey_Driven wrote:I don't think anyone does. I usually think of Mizzou as having a very good defensive front, I'm just not going to be surprised either way.

Re: College Football
Our D Line has not played super well so far. We had two starters get kicked off the team before the start of the season and they are adjusting to a new coaching staff/scheme. I'm waiting for them to break out. Our offense has gained a ton of yards in the first two games but only really scored in the second one. How is the dawgs' D?Electromatic wrote:Chubb is certainly an amazing back, that said Nichols destroyed the Georgia offensive line last week. 20 carries for 80 yards....for Chubb....against....Nichols, an FCS team.
