Now I remember... the lessons are already included included in the state-wide standards. What the article is describing is how the red team was removing them from an anti-CRT bill (SB3) after the blue team tacked them onto that bill during it's first iteration through the state house. They are not removing them from the state standards.

New York’s Private Schools Tackle White Privilege. It Has Not Been Easy.

More broadly, Ms. Haakmat said, private schools need to sidestep white old boy networks in hiring and integrate antiracism into the curriculum: If you teach statistics, why not touch on economic and racial inequality? Or use biology classes to teach of eugenics and how race has framed the way we think of humans? That, she said, “is thoughtful antiracism.”

Critics, a mixed lot of parents and teachers, argue that aspects of the new curriculums edge toward recreating the racially segregated spaces of an earlier age. They say the insistent emphasis on skin color and race is reductive and some teenagers learn to adopt the language of antiracism and wield it against peers.

The nerves of some parents were not soothed when more than 100 teachers and staff members applauded Dalton’s antiracism curriculum and proposed two dozen steps to extend it, including calling on the school to abolish any advanced course in which Black students performed worse than students who are not Black.
....
Soon Mr. Rossi talked with Mr. Davison, the school head, about the dim shape of his future. He secretly recorded that conversation.

It offered a surprise. “The fact is that I’m agreeing with you that there has been a demonization,” Mr. Davison told the teacher. “I also have grave doubts about some of the doctrinaire stuff that gets spouted at us in the name of antiracist.”

Mr. Davison said he was worried students were made to feel shame because of race. “We’re demonizing white people for being born,” he said, adding later, “We’re using language that makes them feel less than, for nothing that they are personally responsible.”
....

I think he meant "teaching them their history"

I’m here at the high school football game. Waiting for halftime so I can wheel the stand for the drum major* out for halftime. While I’m waiting, I notice a group of 6-7 junior high aged kids horsing around, mouthing off and the like. All but one of them is white and two of those have Trump hats on. The other kid is black. I kinda noticed them peripherally and then I heard the black kid start yelling out “please, massah! I won’t do it again, massah! No more, massah!” That got my attention. One of the white kids was pretending to whip him with a long blade of grass. They kept this up for a couple of minutes and I just stood there watching, aghast. They stopped and started carrying on in other ways then started it again. This happened about 30 minutes ago and I still don’t know how to process this. It has actually shaken me up quite a bit. Was he so desperate to fit in he’d pretend to be a fucking slave? Jesus Christ.

I feel like the level of cultural threat some people perceive from CRT has turned out to be well out of proportion with their own willingness to just move on to other topics.

One of, if not the most vocal Trump supporter among my students in 2016 was a Mexican-American kid who would constantly spout anti-Mexican rhetoric and would always say that Trump was "right" about Mexicans.

Book burning at Ontario francophone schools as 'gesture of reconciliation' denounced
“We bury the ashes of racism, discrimination and stereotypes in the hope that we will grow up in an inclusive country where all can live in prosperity and security,” says a video prepared for students about the book burning, Radio Canada reported.

Whats the story this week? CRT is not taught at any K-12 institutions, or CRT inspired lessons are being taught, and thats a good thing.
