honestly, i've just tried to maintain this life i've brought upon myself. it's a discipline now.

i'm not mad about it. i had on-and-off bouts in my 20s and 30s where i'd try to eat well, and exercise (weight training), and then i'd hit a wall and eat like shit, downing entirely too much processed sugars, etc.

now, in my late 40s, i feel like i'm taking better care of myself, and paying attention to my body after i eat, drinking much more water. i still feel i've got a long way to go and more things i can add to the tool belt--doing things that are good for gut health is one.

maybe...maybe i am a good boy.

It’s fine. I was worried about residual pain, and that was something I asked about right as they were wheeling me down the hall.

As soon as the words came out I had a thought that people stink all kinds of things up their butt, and clearly, your butthole is resilient.

Then I let the anesthesia take over and goodnight to everyone.

It’s worth it to make it yourself. It was good, but home is cost effective.

Caught a bad case of the ‘rrhea tonight on the hour and a half drive home from my brother’s. Ran inside past my wife into the bathroom. When i came out she just said “i bet the last stretch of your drive was fun”
