I didn’t want to google it because I use “cue files” all the time in my podcast production. In that instance, a cue file is a clip of an interview or field audio (what chud would call “nat”) that follows a setup, like this:

Host: “we were on site yesterday at the state fair”

[roll cue file]

Thus I didn’t want to google something for which I had a prior, different understanding. I was specifically interested in your experience.

You can use this free program https://cue-splitter.medieval.it/ to open the .cue files and split the discs apart into separate tracks

To anyone diving through, make sure you note both full versions of Lift. The one on disc 16 is better sounding, sounds like an unmastered complete mix.

Yes! The second one on Disc 16 is so damn lush. So very Radiohead of them to release a rougher version on OKNOTOK instead of this fan-pleasing one

I'm not wild about that mix. The rhythm section is buried and the string-sytnths and vocals way too loud. The first one, although lower in level, has a far better balance. With that in mind, have another listen and let me know what you think.

You're probably right - I'm listening at work on Apple earbuds and was probably sucked in by the higher levels.
