First time I've ever been pissed that I watched the "previously on..." as it totally gave away the fact that Stannis was coming to the rescue....

And it gave away the last sequence with Arya. You knew that with the Faceless Man being referenced something would have to take place connecting the finale to that story arch. That really sucked.

That was a great sequence in an episode filled with them.
Yeah, how awesomely creepy was that skeleton crawling up onto Bran?

i liked the skeleton chase scene. a cool action sequence we haven't really seen before, i thought the fx were pretty decent (not perfect but not much of a distraction either), it created some legit intense/worrisome moments with the characters involved, and it ended in a new environment i am definitely curious about. i liked it a lot.
for a show like this, i am glad about the 'previously on...' segments. but i get why people don't like them.
brienne completely mishandled the whole exchange with the hound/arya. hearing her scream for arya after the hound fight- why WOULD arya want to have anything to do with that wailing banshee? ugh.

They show a lack of faith in the audience all the time

i would have taken less "battle at castle black" last week to have had a little more house bolton shenanigans and some more sansa push-up bra action this week. speaking of push-up bras, how many weeks has it been since we got some screen time for margaery tyrell?
i agree about chaining the dragons. the end is nigh for the namer of names.

Skeletons = Lame.
Frankenmountain = Hmmm...reserving judgment.
Tyrion = Off to ______ so he can ______? Very interesting, knew he wouldn't die.
Change Face Guy = Can't wait to see him again.
Hound = Not necessarily dead.
Jon Snow = Has a thing for redheads, will hit that (Malesandra).
Bran = Lame. Now he'll be able to fly? Hmm....reserving judgment.
Guy Who Came Back To Life In That Cave = Where is he?
Ramsey = Interested to see how he will die. Probably via Theon.
Rest Of The Lannisters = Who the fuck knows.
Dany = Yeah not going so well for her.
White Walkers = On hold til final episode of final season, then kill everyone. Everyone.

I had a hard time with the Brionn/Hound fight. I really didn't want either of them to die. If it had to be either of them I wish it was her. Arya and The Hound was he best storyline going, and they were a fantastic pairing.
Tyrion was awesome, loved Varys's "Fuck it - I'm outta here" also.
Stannis the Mannis to the rescue was a total surprise to me. When he first appeared on screen I was like "Stannis Baratheon!" in my lounge room. My wife was on the computer and just looked up at me strangely.
That redhead bitch looks to have decided Jon Snow might know something after all.
And yeah - where have Maergery's titties been?
Great episode, gonna miss it next week. Although I have started reading the first book, so perhaps I'll get stuck into that for a whiles.

I trust that you haven't read the books and these are not spoilers, correct?

I have NOT read the books, nor have I talked to anyone who has. These are simply my theories.

My theory...
Ratings begin tumbling in Season 6, and HBO decides to pull the plug without finishing the season. Episode 5 is re-shot to have a large asteroid hitting the known world, devastating all the lands and killing all creatures

I refuse to believe that a website doesn't exist where it shows you the Episode Number, Character Name, and Time (from the playback counter) for every instance where a chick shows her tits on this show.
I would be particularly interested to know how I can get right to any shots of Marjorie, or Robb Stark's wife who died in the Red Wedding, for starters.
I know this website exists, and I know someone here knows about it, so let's get that link.

So, actually, is this show even going to continue? I haven't read the books but I guess as far as timing is concerned, the show will catch up to the books within two years. George averages like 1 book every 3.5 years or something? My brother was saying that once that happens, there is talk of HBO going off air with it and moving into movie format once Martin finishes the story?

Don't you see? It never ends. The story doesn't finish. Characters will come and go, everybody dies eventually. The Game goes on and on and on...nobody ever truly wins.
It's like the Zantar arcade game from Wayne's World. "The beauty part is, there is no way to get to the next level..."
That being said, GRRM talked about prequel material to fill the gap.

I would love a Robert's Rebellion 4-6 part prequel mini-series.

That would be fucking awesome. Start it around the time Ned and Robert are sent to be wards of Jon Aryn and take it through Robert's coronation or his marriage to Cersei.
