Well, what I got from the piece was basically they took the relationship that Roberts had with that kid and turned into a PR windfall for WWE. They made it seem like Bryan had a lot more to do with that kid than he actually did. It sounded like Bryan didn't have any more of a relationship with him than any other wrestler that met him(aside from being the kids favorite.) It just kind of put a slimy spin on what was a heartwarming story. The way they basically took what Warrior had said about honoring backstage workers and changed into making PR spectacles out of Make A Wish kids.

Oh you're right, in the end that kids happiness is all that matters. I just don't like how they lied about everything to try to make the story fit a narrative.

Before my daughter had major surgery she was almost added to the make a wish list (long story, said too much my apologies, you don't care haha) so I have a big, soft heart for this sort of thing. As long as Connor was happy that is all that really matters. As for Matthews who knows how much of what he is saying is accurate. I do know he is good friends with Punk and Chris Hero. Maybe sour grapes? Who knows.

This is when wrestling as at it's best. When it suspends make believe and you feel like a 5th grader again. I got that feeling just about every time Punk came out of the locker room the last few years in the WWE.

When rasslin is bad it's bad but when it's good it's fucking great! It's crazy to think what Brock's resume had looked like had he not tired to play football and go to UFC. He'd be up there with anyone kayfabe wise but probably in any other category as well.

Yeah, I've basically seen everything good that he's done since I got sucked back in. One of the first things I remember when I started watching again was a Punk/Heyman promo that blew me away.

Wasn't it? I almost go the full ***** with that one. Incredible performances by all involved including Heyman. Proves too that if/when the time comes Bryan can get a good, believable match out of Brock too.

If you guys have not seen Punk v Jericho at WM28 watch it. Apparently after the match Punk went up to Rock in the back (who was facing Cena that night) and said "top that, hollywood."

Revist the Punk/Jeff Hardy matches in 2009. That is about the time I started watching more than just casually again. Great matches. Amazing ladder match at Summerslam and cage match on Smackdown.

I wasn't crazy about that ladder match, but that was because of Jeff, not Punk. I don't like the finish of, "Jeff Hardy took an insane bump, the match is now over." I am a huge fan of Punks match at Mania with Taker. I think it might be Takers best match with someone other than Michaels.

I have never been a big Jeff or Matt Hardy guy. That Punk/Jeff feud got me back into wrestling hardcore. It was just done so well. Punk was pretty much the good guy being straight edge and Jeff was the bad guy with his murky past. It blurred the lines which is when wrestling is wonderful.

Agreed. Love that Taker/Punk match as well. It never gets old and gets better every time I watch it. Just wonderful. Pretty sure Meltzer gave it a **** 1/2 rating. Almost singlehandedly saved WM29 from the dumpster fire.

I go 4.75/5 on the Punk/Taker match.

The Hardys were good for a while, and I always liked Matt's singles work, but Jeff's matches just became too ridiculous. A World Champion isnt someone who jumps off the top of the titantron for no reason and not even land on the opponent.
