I enjoyed Jackie a lot, even though it's a strange, sort of awkward movie. The score and cinematography were both gorgeous, and it's heartbreaking watching Bobbie Kennedy and John Jr. knowing they're both basically ghosts.

Fascinating. I was wondering about this. I'll check it out soon.

I watched it with my dad who was 17 when JFK was killed and I could feel him reliving it next to me, along with a lot of the other baby boomer types in the crowd. It made it a lot more intense for sure.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Yeah its why pulp adventure storytelling is dead. The great white adventurer either saving or defeating the "exotic" locals is inherently racist but also ridiculously fun. Indy will only ever fight Nazi's or Ruskies forever.
