I watched it with my dad who was 17 when JFK was killed and I could feel him reliving it next to me, along with a lot of the other baby boomer types in the crowd. It made it a lot more intense for sure.

Jackie seems especially intense in that way. I've never seen a movie get as up close and personal with the assassination as this one. It's the Zapruder film or Oliver Stone's JFK times 1000.

Portman has to get nominated for this role though. She was powerful in it.

Yeah its why pulp adventure storytelling is dead. The great white adventurer either saving or defeating the "exotic" locals is inherently racist but also ridiculously fun. Indy will only ever fight Nazi's or Ruskies forever.

The Indiana Jones movies are overrated. Once Gen X dies off, no one will ever understand why they were ever popular.

I watched The Birdcage for the first time in forever last night. It came out in '96; I was thinking it was early 90s. I remember my very Southern Baptist being offended by it.
