This is the internet and a message board devoted to the band for discussions about the band. If we took your approach of “whatever they give is fine” then this board would cease to exist. Also I don’t think you really understand much of how this board interacts.

I was here around the build up for Backspacer and Lighting Bolt and remember pretty much universal like for both albums when they released and how each one was better than the previous album, which then turned into eventual disdain for both albums

Laugh at everything, enjoy the pre-album hype swell, and when the band as creative entity once again grinds to a halt and resorts to touring every three years as a means of simply paying for their seedlings' private schools, just walk away, like I do (fine...I roll ), until we do it all again the next go around. No harm done.

I started posting regularly during Riot Act. Maybe I had a handful earlier. It was one of the first march madness tournaments that really had me posting regularly. I actually may have posted briefly during 1999-2000 as I have some vague memories of doing so in my classroom during break when I was a middle school teacher. But it wasn't a habit until RA.

I remember when Binaural and especially Riot Act were pretty disliked. Those were the days

Does anyone remember the build up on Five Horizons? That's where a ton of new album info came. That was always fun.

The atmosphere right now is the most positive I can remember certainly since S/T - and perhaps eclipsing it
