I know Edwards dropped out of Godzilla 2, but I thought Godzilla vs. Kong was going to be a separate movie from that?

In any case, Del Toro is a pretty good choice, though he's been very off his game lately. I hope he can back to his old, cinematic self.

Are you sure? Godzilla v. King Kong has a 2020 release date, while Godzilla 2 was pushed to 2019.

Collider just said that Godzilla 2 may actually be brought forward from 2019 to sooner cos it was Edwards that asked for it to be held til 2019
