:haha: does he do that too?
it's one of his bio hacks for better sleep.

he preaches it. does he do it himself? jury's out.

he popped up on a couple of podcasts I used to listen to, and talked about all his junk science.

I shouldn't say that. Who knows what works and what doesn't? I will say that after that story about him came out, and it turned out he was just some dude who used his platform to bang multiple chicks at once, which he has a right to do, I figured he was just like every other cult leader.

He’s an Ivy League grad from a rich family. I wonder what set him off?

The ultra-short format videos have a measurably different effect on attention and stress. Haidt wrote a #1 NYT best-seller on the topic:

The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness

Honest question,

What stops a new, identical Chinese app from popping up and replacing TikTok?

The backend compute power, then it will need to get popular and hope the advertisers come back before users revert to instagram or something like that. Not much else

So, safe to say that this ban doesn't do anything to protect US citizens' data. It just smacks down the current, most obvious risk.
