Yeah this isn't fair to the dog. Dogs with yards have favorite "spots" to go. You are taking that away from them. Also, walk your dog, maybe it will enjoy pooping in new spots now and again. I'm judging you solely on what kind of dog owner you are. Report back with good news please.

I walk him almost every day, and he does poop in a variety of locations. If he poops anywhere other than the backyard, I scoop it. The backyard is just the lazy place. I hope I can move on from this scandal

Dog is just tiptoeing around his living space to find an empty place to try and poop. Then has to tiptoe back and pray not to step in poop so he doesn’t track it back into the house and get yelled at. All while Vitalogist RMs and speculates about a Pearl Jam album.
