Ya I would argue that it should be a separate song. It doesn't change my opinion at all though.

I need a ruling on something here. What about voting on matches where your team is involved? Do you vote or do you skip it? I'm pretty sure I remember seeing that jambi voted for himself in the last tournament but I don't see any official rule about this.

I stopped listening before Hummus. Since it is a song that could have been drafted it shouldn't be included, imo.

I doubt ccanad was trying to be sneaky by adding an 11th track to his playlist. Probably just too lazy to clip it.

Yeah, you can take it off, no big deal. I don't think it makes or breaks my team.
It is part of the same track on the album though...

Tass also put together a very strong mix. The 3-8 run in particular was excellent.

Okay, lets do some voting:
1-5 points for each song, and up to 10 for a playlist
match 1
durdencommatyler
1. Nothing As It Seems-4
2. No Way-3
3. Red Mosquito-5
4. Cropduster-4 (been into this one lately)
5. Evacuation-2
6. Amongst the Waves-4
7. Sunburn-2
8. Army Reserve-3
9. Immortality-5
10. Around the Bend-3
Evacuation and Sunburn are weak tracks for me, and I don't like No Way as much as everyone else. RM and Immortality are my only favorites but Around the Bend and especially Cropduster and Amongst the Waves have been on the way up.
Playlist seems pretty good. I like NAIS into No way musically although it's a pretty big chance of pace mood wise, and I tend to prefer that moods be sustained. RM into Cropduster is good. Not sure how I feel about evacuation into Amongst the Waves. I kinda feel like that needs a slightly heavier song to follow it because Evacuation is so strident.
6/10. Nothing bad, but there aren't any sequences of songs here I'm a huge fan of. If I heard it actually play out I might feel differently.
41 total points. Pretty strong team.
vs
stip
1. Small Town
2. Daughter
3. Why Go
4. Black
5. Animal
6. Comatose
7. Save You
8. Corduory
9. RVM
10. Olympic Platinum
I'm not rating my team since obviously I prefer it. This actually wasn't the team I set out to draft, but those early records are my favorite and there were just so many great songs left lingering in everyone's mad dash to draft every possible song on No Code--Binaural just in case they were left out, so I ended up putting together a GH team. Fortunately Pearl Jam's big hits are pretty outstanding. It is an aggressive mix for sure, as even the slower songs are a bit loud (black and even small town, curiously enough. So this is an intense 40 minute listen. My hope is that the songs keep building to a fever pitch so that by the time RVM climaxes you feel like you've just run a marathon (in a good way).
I LOVE how The Fixer follows RVM (try it out), and I almost took it, but then I thought that i had so many of the 'all star' songs on here that I needed to close with Olympic platinum.

1. Spin The Black Circle-4
2. God's Dice-2
3. Education-4
4. World Wide Suicide-5
5. Faithful-3
6. Dirty Frank-3
7. Wishlist-4
8. Dissident-3
9. Brother-2
10. All Those Yesterday-4
Not a fan of brother or god's dice. WWS is a top 10 song for me, and there are some other strong ones on here.
I talked about this playlist earlier, and while there were a few places where the transitions are a little jarring due to song volume, etc. this flowed remarkably well. God's dice into education is excellent, and anyone who can go from WWS to Faithful to Dirty Frank deserves a lot of credit
9/10 (43 points)
vs
monkey_driven
1. Just Breathe-4
2. Last Soldier-3
3. Rival-4
4. Do the Evolution-5
5. Harmony-2
6. Thumbing My Way-2
7. Sleight of Hand-2
8. Better Man-5
9. I Am Mine-5
10. Let it Ride-3
Really all or nothing with this team. I Am Mine, Betterman, and DTE are all top tier songs for me, and rival and just breathe aren't slouches either. I don't like it when people take random instrumentals when strong songs still remained, although harmony does transition out of DTE pretty well. Songs flow pretty well and Rival into DTE is quite strong. But without hearing them play out that's the only real stand out moment to me.
6/10 (41 total points)
Vote for ccannd on the strength of his playlist, even though monkey_driven has more songs I really like
---------------------------------------------------------------------
match 3
darth vedder
1. Can't Keep-4
2. Thunderclap-2
3. MFC-3
4. Parachutes-4
5. Puzzles & Games-4
6. Love Boat Captain-2
7. W.M.A.-3
8. Tremor Chris-5
9. Out Of My Mind-3
10. Smile-3
DV started to lose me a bit towards the end of his drafting, but given our tastes I could get on board with quite a lot of his team. Few favorites outsside of Tremor Christ, but parachutes, Puzzles and games, and Can't Keep will always be welcome on a playlist of mine.
Puzzles and games into LBC works pretty well, but beyond that i can't really picture these songs flowing together nicely in my head. Nothing jumps out as terrible, but nothing all that compelling either.
5/10 (38)

1. Brain of J-5
2. Alive (Remix) - from Greatest Hits-5
3. Force of Nature-5
4. Cold Confession-5
5. Strangest Tribe-4
6. Given To Fly-5
7. Get Right-4
8. Gonna See My Friend-5
9. Satan's Bed-4
10. I'm Still Here-2
This is a beast of a team, with a great playlist to boot, at least until I'm still here, which is a song I never liked and feels kinda leaden given the life the rest of these songs have. 9/10
53. My favorite team to date, and quite possibly my favorite mix.

1. All Night-4
2. Ghost-4
3. U-1
4. State Of Love And Trust-5
5. Falling Down-3
6. Green Disease-2
7. Fatal-3
8. Bu$hleaguer-2
9. Parting Ways-4
10. All Or None-2
Only one stand out track here (a few 4s, but the lower end of that range) and a bunch of songs that just lie outside my tastes.
Even though the songs are conceptually so different I like All Night into Ghost, and U isn't too bad coming out of that, although I don't like U into SOLAT. Not a fan of how falling down follows it either (SOLAT is out of place on this team--like chud said earlier, it can be hard to mix songs from different eras). Green Disease. The rest of the mix is okay, but the strongest sequence for me is the first 3 tracks
6/10 (36)
vs
varis
1. Of the Girl (Benaroya '03)-3
2. Hard to Imagine (Chicago Cab Soundtrack)-4
3. Breath (RVM)-5
4. Alone (Lost Dogs)-4
5. Improv (pre-Habit Mansfield '98)-3
6. Hold On (Acoustic)-4
7. 4-20-02-2
8. Otherside (Lost Dogs)-3
9. Gone (Demo)-2
10. Indifference (Sydney '03)-5
Varis drafted a lot of songs I dont' really care that much about, but even with the live tracks in there he put in a really strong playlist that enhanced the weaker songs. 9/10 (44).
