All packed, picked up kid from school. Now we’re just waiting to head to the airport to catch our flight. Still battling a cold so not at my best; hopefully my three year old will take pity on me and be a compliant travel companion.

7pm flight so shouldn’t be an issue, but I have melatonin chews at the ready if she doesn’t doze off after a few hours in the air.

7pm flight so shouldn’t be an issue, but I have melatonin chews at the ready if she doesn’t doze off after a few hours in the air.
After experiencing terrible side effect from taking melatonin a couple years back, I’d never recommend it to anyone.

My kid can sometimes wake up really grumpy if given it, so that’s why it’s a last resort in this situation, as we’ll prob have at least a couple hours til destination once she wakes.

Haha not even an hour in. She’s been good so far, keeping her up for the meal that she won’t eat anyway, then hopefully a few hours sleep isn’t far off.

The kid and I got our upgrades to business class for our flight home this morning, so we can sit up by mom now.

regarding flying home, we have about a 3-4 hour layover at O'hare..I have not been through there in about 15 years...any good food?
