what is older style PJ?

I heard moments that called to mind Yield, Riot Act, and S/T the most, but it didn't feel like any of those albums. No PJ album really repeats any other, imo.

I don't like the fact that there's a chance of another Matt song on a Pearl Jam record.

Nice work on the review Stip, but since you like it and are excited that unfortunately means I will probably be underwhelmed....

I believe stip that this is legit, although it has the feel of something that was completely invented (even down to the "let's throw in Cold Concession from that interview, just so it seems more legit").

Hard to really feel any thoughts one way or the other as of yet, though.

this is actually a huge part of why i love new albums so much. love the entire process that usually starts with someone describing the songs like this, picturing it in my head and later matching that with reality. today felt like pj xmas, with the single on time and everything.

stip - what kind of thought did you put into the write up? Were you trying not to alienate? were you trying to win some posters over? Were you trying to be neutral? or was this all coming from within and all that is the real stip?
