Oh it's bizarre all right. I don't think I've seen anything like it before. I had once seen it when I was like five years old. It gave me nightmares. Now it gives me nightmares for whole other reasons.

I saw Howard The Duck in the theatre. I tried to get my dad to take me again but he refused. I didn't understand why.

The Seventh Seal

Not sure what I thought of this. I wanted to love it but found some of it campy. I can't say I am a believer in Ingmar Bergman after this, though I would say that parts of the film reek of self-love. Loved the idea of playing chess with death. If the film had stuck more to mysticism rather than human affairs, I probably would have loved it.

The To Do List

Funny, funny movie and didn't hold back when it came to talking about sex. Really liked it.

Only stupid part was Bill Hader dragging out his unfunny Eddie Vedder impression. Not saying that as PJ fanboy, just a lousy impression. Hader was really good in this, but hopefully that's the last time we have to see that.

Let's see...

I watched The Giant Mechanical Man which I quite enjoyed. It's obvious, sure. And derivative? Yes, it's a typical romantic comedy. There are a few too many jokes that I've heard before. But the last third of the film really won me over. And I like the characters a lot. I appreciate their struggle, though I've seen it all before. I feel for them. And I liked the movie well enough.

Then I watched Bachelorette, which I thought I'd hate. Maybe my expectations were too low, but I really liked this thing. I laughed out loud frequently. I was moved (oddly enough) and I really liked the character arcs. Lizzy Caplan is beautiful and hilarious and I'd marry her if I wasn't already married. I think it might have more replay value than Bridesmaids. Maybe. But, yeah. I liked it. The characters aren't exactly likeable, but there is redemption and genuine growth.
