You can use this free program https://cue-splitter.medieval.it/ to open the .cue files and split the discs apart into separate tracks :nice:
foobar works great as well.

edit: they were found on minidiscs? wild.

From an outsider perspective, the subreddit chatter about this is really exciting. Reading collectors connecting the dots is like being a fly on the way on some archaeological dig.

This was news to me too. I was really confused for a while.

Electioneering is always great also.

I really like the intro on Disc 15. Sounds a bit like an ice cream truck driving through a radiation field.

These are in fact all the same take of "Lift", just mixed very differently and with different intros.

So there is only one alternate version of "Lift", mixed 3 different ways.

I prefer the mix/version on Disc 15.

Just as I did not peep at J-Law's boobies, I will not be listening to these tracks, even though I'm a HUGE RH fan, because I don't condone the blatant thievery. I'm sure the band members are pissed, and I don't blame them.

Not necessarily. A lot of tracks on Every Last Crumb were leaked/released by the band themselves for the fuck of it. There are things that Thom has given to fans that are on youtube. They have kindly provided soundboard soundtracks for fan-made multi-cam DVD's. It's not out of the question that they might not care. It's actually possible that the band themselves might have leaked this.

I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the band released this, actually.

Yeah, that’s actually more likely than Thom or someone in the organization taking the time to make these minidiscs available to someone with computer savvy.

Dr. Rachel Owen was not Thom's wife.

Yes, I agree they probably don't care. But I don't know. I will not participate in this until I know.

From what little I've heard from this so far, my biggest takeaway is that the band was at an even bigger commercial vs artistic crux than they were letting on in interviews and in their persona during this era. They put so much to tape that would not fit on OK Computer at all. Meeting People is Easy catches them wrangling with the effects of their artistic decision, but this collection is their decision laid bare. These shimmering versions of "Lift" show it best but a lot of the other previously unheard(?) tracks are catchy as hell too. Then there's that full band "True Love Waits." Easily an album's worth of ideas here that no one would have faulted them for following up something like The Bends. It's fun to hear how all of the found sounds and layering on this collection won out over all the pop.

Then again, I've only listened to disc 1 and a few here and there things from 15 and 16. I'm just scratching the surface here.

This was a good couple of sentences
It felt good typing them.

I wonder if a properly tracked album featuring things like Pearly, Polyethylene, Lift, and I Promise would still outperform The Bends in a fan ranking scenario where OK Computer as we know it didn't exist.
