Congrats. I will admit I fixate on my times and will berate myself if I think I'm slow. For everyone else in the world, I applaud that your active and working on your health.durdencommatyler wrote:This won't sound like much to many of you, but today I ran a 5k(3.1 miles) in 24:02. That's the first time in my entire life that I've run three miles in under 8mins/mile. I'm pretty stoked about it.
I've spent more time on distance and endurance than speed. Not that they need to be separate goals or anything. But, yeah, my times aren't as big a deal to me, usually. But today, I just felt like going balls out to see if I could do it. And it was awesome. It didn't hurt that the race was in my backyard (Prospect Park, which I run 4 or 5 times a week). So it felt like home field advantage.surfndestroy wrote:Congrats. I will admit I fixate on my times and will berate myself if I think I'm slow.
