Matt was a very underrated worker in his prime. Great stuff with Edge and Jeff as well. Looooved when he turned on Jeff at Royal Rumble in 09.

I really liked Jeff's stuff with Umaga but I was a massive Umaga mark. As much as I never cared for Jeff I understand he was really over. Maybe more so than anyone there in 2008 and 2009. But I don't think he ever should have been WWE champ. WHC sure. But that is only because that was essentially like the IC title for a long time there. Hell, Swagger was WHC for like 4-5 months.

I love Dolph but he is floundering some. Which is weird because he is so over. After Cena and Bryan you probably see more Dolph shirts than anyone else.

That was a very good match, but I am not a fan of that dueling headbutt spot they've been doing. It's impossible to get a camera angle where it isn't obvious they aren't hitting each other.

I probably have most of those at ***** as well. Only thing lately I'd give ***** is Punk/Bryan Over the Limit 2012. I also go the full ***** with Angle/Taker No Way Out 2006. The match that should have happened at WM 22.

I'm not sure if it is BETTER but I think the HBK/Razor ladder match at Summerslam 95 is at least as good.

Valentine was a hell of a worker. His stuff in the late 70s/early 80s is very slept on. Vince SR actually wanted to put the title on him in 1981 but Bob Backlund didn't wanna drop it to him. His dog collar match with Piper at the first Starrcade is a classic. That was Piper's coming out party nationally. Valentine had some decent matches in his IC title run. Good feuds with JYD and Tito Santana. But agreed he didn't serve much purpose after that. The idea of him in a tag team with Honky Tonk Man was good and the fact his last name was "Valentine" made sense being in Jimmy Hart's stable (which was very underrated) but that tag team never went anywhere.

Watching The Self Destruction Of The Ultimate Warrior. Even as a kid, I thought he was a shitty wrestler (and this is coming from a Hogan fan), so this is pretty enjoyable. Bobby Heenan really didn't like him, lol.

Warrior's character was awesome but yes not a great wrestler at all. Sounds like most people didn't like him because he wasn't a yes man which I respect. But if you are going to piss off Bobby Heenan you must of had your moments. The stories with Andre were hilarious.

I was lucky enough to see Warrior live a few times. Most notably in a cage vs Savage a week after Savage cost him the title against Slaughter. Also saw Warrior vs Andre and a bodybag match vs Taker.

Just a quick follow up on Hogan never laying down to Savage, a friend whos way into the rassling world, noted that not only did Hogan never lay down for Savage, and twice in WcW took the belt off Savage after 1 day, he pointed out that Savages first championship in WcW was won in the 3 ring battle royal, in which Hogan was pulled under the bottom rope just as Savage knocked out One Man Gang, so of course Hogan came back in, and instead of celebrating Savages win, Hulkster got the fans behind him saying he got screwed. So even on Savages win, it was all about Hogan getting screwed.
Its no wonder Savage held a grudge

I never forgave Hulk Hogan for pulling Sid out of the 1992 Rumble. What a dick move.

That was really confusing. I was like "did Hogan just turn heel?" And Hogan pulled that sore loser shit before with throwing Big Boss Man out. Even I was sick of Hogan not long after that, but Warrior's championship run was a disaster. Savage pretty much carried everyone in those days.

I was watching the Rumbles over the weekend. Those mid 90s Rumbles were brutal. I'm surprised the WWF survived.

The Hogan interview on Jericho's podcast was pretty cool.
