he had plenty of music that didnt move me either way, but when you are that prolific it doesnt matter. some songs stay with me forever and others just slide off and its all good

Ah Mark Lanegan. I still remember the first time i saw him live. What a presence. What a fucking voice.
I still cant go back to his music that often, similar to what happened when Cornell died.

I find Cornell's death taints his music more than Lanegan's. Lanegan was always that guy. Gone too soon, but he never indicated that he was in this for the long haul. CC's death is still so... frustrating. Bewildering.
It's not a competition, but that's where I'm at with it.

yeah i understand that. Also, they died from very different causes i think thats what makes Cornell´s death so weird and dark, the guy finished a SG show and kill himself. I thought that could happen maybe in 95 but 2017? no way.
Lanegan´s death is more of a casualty i guess of his life and health and covid basically taking advantage of that. Another tragedy anyway.

“Mark Lanegan | 60 - A Celebration”
Dave Gahan’s set:
. Sideways in Reverse
. Low
. Kingdoms of Rain
. Strange Religion
. One Hundred Days with “Josh Homme”
. Revival
. Hit The City
I can’t believe I shook this dudes hand. We turned down the photo at the meet and greet and he seemed so relieved by that. I’m good with that being a favorite ‘music’ moment.
I’ve been going through those solo bootlegs from whatever years ago, man, what a force.

I also shook his hand, first time i saw him with Greg? Dulli around they released the Gutter Twins album. They did an acoustic show in a very small theatre and it was amazing i was hooked within the first second.
I waited a moment after the show and Lanegan came out super serious but shook everyone´s hand. So fucking cool really.
Last time i saw him was in Montevideo, Uruguay in 2018. Great show really. Another small theatre, called exactly the same as that first BA show. Went there with my girl, spent a whole weekend in Uruguay and she came along to the show and loved it too.

I shook his hand right after he signed my concert poster at one of his shows. I was awestruck.
