Green Room, second view.
Well, i really like Jeremy Saulnier´s aesthetics, framing, actor´s directors, etc....and i really like this movie until the end. Then it goes full Hollywood and it betrays everything. And the end is just lousy.

Blood Father.
Finally i get around to see this beauty. Gibson owns this movie. He is brilliant. And the movie itself is great.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I really can't think of any aspect of the film that bothered me or didn't deliver.

I dvr'd Escape From New York the other day. I haven't watched it yet, but I supposed I'll work it into the rotation this week. I haven't seen good 'ol Snake Blisken in like 20 years.
I wonder if they'll be a reboot for this at some point.

Interesting. I felt really old remembering that it takes place in the distant future of 1997

Watched Nine Lives yesterday. Wtf did Barry Sonnenfeld do to deserve this? Or, for that matter, Kevin Spacey? Jennifer Garner? Christopher Walken? Holy crap. And man they played up the "we're going to stretch this story bit to the very last second" a lot. The suicidal son? Nope, he had a parachute on. The affair? Nope, it was actually a realtor. The worst part is that if you had half a brain you saw all of these things coming and then you just had to sit and wait for the inevitable conclusion. Which took forever! Oh man.
"I have kids" is the only excuse I have. At least we got it from the library so it was free. Other than the hour+ of time, I guess.
