Boston in 7.
Stevens will outcoach Lue and Love will be neutralized to the point where not even LeBron will be able to overcome the lack of offensive support.

LeBron is the coach. He got just as many coach of the year votes as Stevens too.Joesanity wrote:Boston in 7.

I can absolutely see this happening. But....I'm not picking against LeBron in the East again. And I definitely am not picking against him in a game 7.Joesanity wrote:Boston in 7.

But the Celtics should be able to turn Love back into the Round 1 version. Toronto tried to guard him with either a big or a smaller guy. Love would get open shots against the big and take DeRozan and others to the basket and was unstoppable. Boston won't let that happen. Most of their defense can switch onto anybody so I highly doubt the Cavs offense will look anything like it did in against Toronto. And the Cavs were still awful defensively. The Celtics are the much better team with the better coach so it will take a superhuman performance from LeBron for the Cavs to win this series.

I feel like the public opinion on their potential has shifted so much in the past month it is hard to keep track of whether they are underrated, properly rated, or overrated.verb_to_trust wrote:People are way overrating the Celtics.

The national media has them losing in 5 maybe 6 with no chance of winning. Doesn't seem like an overrating to me.

Of course the national media doesn't actually watch the games but they know big names and someone told them Brad is god so they do repeat that.

Re: NBA Thread
Depends on the national media you are referring to. I would say most basketball writers either attend the games or watch them at this point in the season. Talking heads, maybe not so much, but why do people even listed to them?bada wrote:Of course the national media doesn't actually watch the games but they know big names and someone told them Brad is god so they do repeat that.

I'm willing to admit the fans of the team might dare to think they could win.

Personally, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop on the Cavs.verb_to_trust wrote:People are way overrating the Celtics.
I've seen enough mediocre and lackluster play from them this season that a sweep of a team they perpetually own isn't going to change my mind.

I'm sort of with you. Not sure if the Love/Korver chemistry will last with a different matchup. The Celtics are a very solid defensive team.Joesanity wrote:Personally, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop on the Cavs.verb_to_trust wrote:People are way overrating the Celtics.

Yeah, and he was on that Hawks team that won 60 before getting swept by Cleveland too.Monkey_Driven wrote:Horford has been incredible in these playoffs so far.Electromatic wrote:Average Al is not beating Lebron James.
