Yeah, but was excessive extra innings a problem that needed to be corrected? This is a massive change to the game that was unnecessary.

Trails Bonds by 132 career homers.

I get that Bonds cheated/the steroids, all that... but seriously, it took one of the greatest hitters of all time, and a ton of juice to catch Ruth and Aaron...
35 homers a year, for 20 years... leaves you at 700 and 4th all time.
