To be fair on CHUD, you're not doing much to help this one.

How so? I'm chill as fuck.
If you throw everyone out who is cold on Pearl Jam, there will be no thread.
doc and I could stay in the thread and reminisce about the days before I was a mod and how I had to constantly pm him every time I wanted a sotm thread stickied.
True story, its been so long since we both became mods that i couldn't remember if we both became mods at the same time, but i did finally remember that it was punkdavid and i that were voted in at the same time. I do now remember you getting me to help with the sotm threads :D

I never understood the hate for this. Well, maybe I did, but I thoroughly enjoy it. Sure, it's a cheesy ballad, PJ style, but better than your average ballad. PJ have slowly incorporated the slow/thoughtful songs into their cannon increasingly throughout the years. If you take that progression and incorporate a maturity and middle age settlement into that, you will get something like Future Days, it's inevitable. That said, assuming a song of that likeness will creep into a band like PJ in their current state, it's a pretty good song for what its intent is.

OK, good, at least a couple of people here can take this song for what it is. The appeal of Pearl Jam, to me, is that their music was always honest--something like Just Breathe or Future Days is a lot more honest to me at this point than some angsty howler. Don't get me wrong, I love hearing PJ rock out hard and I love hearing them get weird and trippy as well. I just hear songs like Future Days as reflecting new emotions they're all feeling. Keep on keeping it real boys!

I think we're all hot on PJ...some just try to 'out-fan' everyone else.
You've been here for 5 minutes, you have no idea.

Long time lurker....yadda yadda yadda.
There's a good number of RM posters that don't like PJ anymore. We try not to say too much to them, but we cannot deny they are here; we just tread carefully.

I don't understand how someone can post on a PJ board and not LOVE PJ. I have certain songs that I'm not keen on, but this band is head and shoulders above everything else I've ever experienced.
Well, I'm just sayin'... Look, I'm just telling you this: you need to tone down that shit if you're gonna be accepted here, know what I mean?

Tone down what shit?

Chud said 'you guys need to chill the fuck out' and I said 'maybe you should visit another thread'? You don't get that was sarcastic/ironic?
That depends. Did you get that I'm being sarcastic/ironic?

I suggest you check out the No Leak Club thread. There's about six of us who haven't listened to the leak that everyone else is listening to right now. We are all managing fine, by the way.

Agreed. They don't NEED to write angsty screamer just because some fan boys want them to. I'd rather the band write what THEY feel they want to write.
