Trag, did you ever see Bachelorette? Came out in 2012. Kirsten Dunst, Lizzy Caplan ( :luv: ), Rebel Wilson, Isla Fisher. I don't think a lot of people saw it or liked it very much. But I think it's fantastic. As much as I love Bridesmaids, I might prefer Bachelorette.

Haven't watched it, but it's been on my radar for a date night. I'll bump it up in the queue. ;-)
I think it's really funny. It's similar to Bridesmaids but relies less on "dude humor" and tackles more controversial subject matter. It feels much less "safe" or ... I don't want to say pandering but... less broad than Bridesmaids. Again, I love Bridesmaids. But there's something really interesting about Bachelorette to me. But it might just be me. Plenty of people seem to dislike it. So... watcher beware, I guess.

Wasn't a fan of Bridesmaids or Stepbrothers. Wanted to like them, but they just weren't very funny

I think Step Brothers is one of the funnyer, biglyest, and yugelyest movies of the last 17 years. God I love it so much.

Bridesmaids was fine. Maybe im sexist.

Honest question: Does your love for Jesus preclude you from enjoying some comedies? Like, do you watch Bridesmaids and have an uneasy feeling about the premarital sex and whatnot?
Not at all. I'd be a hypocrite if it did.
I just didn't think those movies were terribly funny. They had a few great bits but they were few and far between.

On a side note. Watched Doctor Strange last night. Such a boring Marvel movie

Right on. One of my close friends here is a devout Christian; his brother is actually a minister. He and his wife do a good job of turning their belief system on and off depending on their company. Like, they never make anyone feel bad when we're a little drunk and telling bawdy jokes or something. But once their kids are around, they maintain a far more G-rated vibe, and will actively not invite people over to their house whom they think might upset the example they are trying to set for their children. I admire this about them.
Shit - I'm probably one of the worst examples to my kids and step kids.
